Notify of an employment contract with an adolescent employee for the purpose of their vocational training

Do you wish to employ an adolescent at your company and provide that person with vocational training? Remember that you must notify the competent office of the city or municipality accordingly.

How to proceed

This procedure can be completed:

What you should know and who can use this service

Anyone who wishes to employ an adolescent, i.e. a person who has reached the age of 15 but is under the age of 18, for the purpose of vocational training must notify the office of the city or municipality where that adolescent resides.

If you are a craftsperson, you must also notify the competent chamber of crafts – the one having jurisdiction over your company’s registered office.

You may employ a person who is under the age of 15 if:

  • that person has completed an 8-year primary school and will be employed in the calendar year in which they reach the age of 15;
  • that person has completed an 8-year primary school and will be employed for the purpose of vocational training in the form of training for a specific occupation;
  • that person has not completed an 8-year primary school and will be employed for the purpose of vocational training in the form of training for a specific job.

Submit the notification as soon as you have concluded the contract with the adolescent.

Where you can complete this procedure

You can complete this procedure at:

  • city/town or commune (gmina) offices
  • Chamber of Craft
  • cities with poviat status

Notify the fact of having concluded an employment contract with an adolescent to the office of the city or municipality in which the adolescent resides. If you are a craftsperson, you must also notify the chamber of crafts having jurisdiction over your company’s registered office.

Submit the notification as soon as you have concluded the contract with the adolescent.

  1. A staff member at the office will examine your notification

After receiving your notification, the staff member at the office will verify it for formal errors and then enter the information into the register of adolescent workers. At your request, the office will issue a confirmation that the adolescent worker has been entered into the register of adolescent workers.
