What you should know and who can use this service

A foreign entrepreneur who has established a representative office may submit an application for its removal to the Minister of Economic Development and Technology before the expiry of the 2-year period of the entry in the register.

When you should complete this procedure

You can submit an application at any time. Please note that the entry on a representative office is valid for 2 years from the date of entry. If, within the last 90 days before the end of the validity period of the entry, you have not requested a renewal of the entry in the register for another 2 years, the entry of the representative office in the register will cease to be valid.

Time limit

You can submit an application at any time. Please note that the entry on a representative office is valid for 2 years from the date of entry. If, within the last 90 days before the end of the validity period of the entry, you have not requested a renewal of the entry in the register for another 2 years, the entry of the representative office in the register will cease to be valid.

  1. Removal of the representative office from the register

Removal of a representative office from the register of representative offices is based on the decision on the removal made in a simplified mode.


If you do not get a negative decision within one month of submitting the application, it means that the Minister of Economic Development and Technology has accepted your application and removed the representative office from the register (tacit handling of the matter).

You can apply for a certificate that your case has been resolved tacitly (removal of the representative office from the register), if necessary. Submit the application to the Minister of Economic Development and Technology.

How long you will have to wait

If you do not receive a negative decision within one month of submitting the application, it means that the Minister of Economic Development and Technology has accepted your application and removed the representative from the register.

How can you appeal

If you receive a negative decision, you can apply to the Minister of Economic Development and Technology for the case to be re-examined. You have 14 days to do this from the day you receive the decision.
