800 new jobs in Aviation Valley Aviation and cosmonautics are among Podkarpacie’s intelligent specializations. Traditions in aviation and aviation education – at various levels – contribute to increasing number of experts in machine construction and aviation. Building EME Aero is a model example of an investment based on world-class technologies, highly qualified staff, cooperation with research and academic institutions and full recognition of investor’s needs by local and regional authorities. In Jasionka near Rzeszów there will be established a common project of Lufthansa Technik i MTU Aero Engines. This will be one of the largest and most advanced centre MRO services (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) for aircraft engines. The total value of the investment in the moment of commissioning of the plant in 2020 is estimated at PLN 150 million. In following years the company should employ at least 800 people. EME Aero offer will include technical support, overhauls and maintenance of GTF aircraft engines which belong to the latest generation from PW1000G family. Such engines are used in Airbus A320neo and other airliners. The company’s investment should also be treated as a good practice of Polish Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology, Polish Investment and Trade Agency and regional institutions that played a significant role in presenting the assets of the place to the investor and in helping him with making decision as to localization.
