New R&D Center in Mazury is gaining momentum

For nearly thirty years Delphia Yachts designs and constructs boats recognized on Polish as well as global market. The company have built one of the largest shipyards in Central and Eastern Europe, has its own marina and… this is not its final word!

In September 2017 there was a ceremonious inauguration of Delphia Yachts R&D centre in Olecko situated in The Warmia-Mazury Special Economic Zone. Among participants of the event there were representatives of local authorities, public administration, Ministry of Economic Development, research institutes, universities, the yacht industry, cont.

The company’s unquestionable advantage is continuous willingness to develop and apply new production technologies. Thanks to this its yachts are competitive in terms of innovativeness and at the same time meet the highest quality standards. Its way of conducting business and original projects it come up with correspond to the requirements of contemporary economy. This company is proof that hard work, creativity and determination always pay off. Thanks to that it is valued by foreign clients – almost 95% of sailing and motor yachts are exported.

The newly established centre is therefore the next step in company’s expansion which brings new opportunities and perspects.

The building’s usable area is over 3000 m2. The centre employs 14 engineers and 2 scientific workers, who will carry out researches on new technologies and the use of nanomaterials in yacht production.

Main partners of the Delphia Yachts R&D centre are Gdańsk University of Technology, Warsaw University of Technology and Industrial Chemistry Research Institute in Warsaw.

The project costed PLN 12.7 million and was supported by the EU grant of PLN 4.1 million from European Regional Development Fund.
