In order to become an entrepreneur, you do not need to complete any specialized education or preparation courses. It is worth though to look through the variety of free training available on the Polish market which will allow you to expand your knowledge and discover new opportunities.

Counseling in Voivodeship Labor Offices

Each voivodeship has a unit called Information and Professional Career Planning Center. They provide free professional counseling and maintain a Register of Training Institutions, as well as a schedule of available training.

During individual interviews with the professional counselor you can find out more about setting up business activity, and obtain or expand knowledge which may be useful in order to open your business. You can also participate in various types of free training enhancing your professional competences.

A vast offer of free multimedia training is available through the PARP Academy, which is an educational portal for small and medium establishments. There are 94 interactive, electronic multimedia training courses: 42 e-learning training courses on business, 42 m-learning training courses on business (for mobile devices: smartphones and tablets), and 5 e-learning and 5 m-learning training courses dedicated to trainers. The topics of the courses cover principle knowledge in the field of tax law, marketing, public procurement and other significant information for an entrepreneur.

If you are looking for a course on a specific subject, refer to the largest database of training programs, courses and post-graduate studies in Poland, which you can browse according to the subject, location, duration, as well as the type (e-learning, an open/closed course) or price.

Many of these training programs are financed from the European Social Fund, which was established in order to support the Community social policy. The fund finances vocational training, scholarships, apprenticeships, counseling and job placement, as well as many other projects.
