Sale of wild mushrooms on stalls

Fresh mushrooms, growing in natural conditions, and dried mushrooms obtained from mushrooms growing in the wild, may be offered to the final consumer:

1) only in commercial stores or at markets;

2) subject to the approval for fresh mushrooms or approval for dried mushrooms.

The model of the approval for fresh mushrooms is set out in Annex 3 to the Regulation of the Minister of Health of May 17th, 2011 on mushrooms admitted to trading or the production of mushroom products, foods containing mushrooms and powers of the mycologist and fungi expert. The model of the approval for dried mushrooms is set out in Annex 4 to the above Regulation.

Approvals are issued by mycologists and fungi experts, who approve mushrooms for trade.

Only mushrooms listed in Annex 1 to the Regulation of the Minister of Health cited above can be the subject of sales.

However, these mushrooms may be offered for sale if:

1) they are of a single species, with the exception of mushrooms that can be used for the production of foodstuffs;

2) are not fragmented, with the exception of a single division along the axis of the stem, and they may not be the only stems or stems separated from the caps in excess of the number of caps;

3) do not show any signs of moulding;

4) there are no live larvae in them or diptrea larvae channels, and the amount of mushrooms with primal redness does not exceed 5% of the total weight of mushrooms;

5) the content of organic pollutants, especially bedding, moss, pine needles is less than 0.3% of the total weight of mushrooms;

6) mineral pollutant content does not exceed 1% of total mushrooms.
