These carriages may be made subject to the provisions in force in particular countries. Conducting occasional transport services by bus and coach within the European Union does not require a license. Conducting occasional and shuttle transport services by bus or coach in the field of international road transport within the territory of the Member States of the European Union, the Swiss Confederation or the Member States of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) - parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, requires keeping a waybill.

The waybill should consist in particular the details of the entrepreneur, the registration number of the car, type of service, place of departure and place of arrival of the carriage and a name list of the passengers.
Conducting shuttle and occasional transport requires the keeping of a waybill consisting in particular:
- name and address of the operator
- the vehicle registration number, type of service
- the departure and destination locations of the carriage
- name list of the passengers
According to the Annex to the Act on road transport, failing to present required documents permitting road transport by the driver (including the waybill) is subject to a fine amounting to PLN 500 imposed on the driver. On the other hand the operator deems liability from not supplying the driver with the relevant document also with a fine in the amount of PLN 500.
Occasional transport services are provided using a motor vehicle with a technical capacity of more than 7 persons including the driver (so also vans according to this guide, which is motor vehicles with a technical capacity of over 7 persons but not more than 9 persons, including the driver).
Legislation does not provide the requirement of holding relevant authorization when conducting occasional or shuttle transport services by vehicles described above.
