What you should know and who can use this service
A data controller (data processor), who appoints the Data Protection Officer, may be:
- a natural or legal person
- a public authority or other entity that processes personal data, for instance a medical centre or an insurance company
The notification of the appointment of the Data Protection Officer specifies, for instance, the address.
If the details change, the data controller or data processor must notify the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO). Such notification must be submitted within 14 days of the change in the details.
